Massage and Bodywork
Massage and bodywork that includes not only gliding pressure with hands, knuckles and elbows but also facilitated stretching, positional holds and breathing techniques can have a profoundly positive effect on the body. By increasing systemic oxygen, cellular metabolism and through facilitation of deep states of relaxation there can be a decrease in fascial adhesions, improvement of overall mobility, sports and post-surgical recovery, circulation, immune function and even short term cognitive ability.
Hypnotherapy has a much wider application for healing than many people know or understand. It has gotten a certain comedic or bad reputation in movies and tv shows over the years. However, the process is very much akin to creative visualization in a deeply relaxed state. From this deeply relaxed state sometimes also referred to as hypnotic or trance, the theta brainwave state is more easily accessible. Being able to access this state can be a highly effective tool for people who want to change unhealthy habits, overcome phobias, free up limited thinking, improve performance, learn a new skill quickly, reduce or eliminate physical and/or emotional pain and more.
All sessions are ultimately led and designed by the client in response to what changes, improvement or focus is desired.
There are many different types of energy healing. Most Energy Healing techniques work to clear stuck energy and/or energize the electromagnetic energy field that passes through and just beyond our bodies. Science has been able to detect and measure these fields in the past 50 years. Energy healing techniques can include work with energy centers called Chakras, or lines of energy that relate to various organ systems called meridians as in the application of acupressure as utilized in Traditional Chinese medicine. Some other forms include use of plants, percussion, smoke, and sound vibration. We mostly utilize the use of hand placements on or just above the body as well as sound and flower essence at times. These techniques in different forms, have been found a in traditional and indigenous healing practices all over the world.
